Now you can provide services, sell products, on a small scale without creating a company in France
Huge news for France on July 27th, 2008! In a ocontry where setting up a company is a nightmare, despite all the allegations that it’s ‘ much simpler ‘ now, a law for the Modernization of the Economy has just passed, allowing students, employees, retired individuals and the unemployed to perform business services or engage in commerce without creating a company, as long as it remains on a small scale.
Other “breakthroughs”:
- They will not be charged ‘ social security charges until they earn revenue… This, strange as it may seem, was NOT the case before.
- Not only can they start, but they can end their activity without administrative hassles.
This means summer businesses, consulting gigs while being employed or unemployed, all this becomes easy in a country where before, one had to find various subterfuges in order to be free to do these things.
The law provides other simplifications for companies, from small ones to corporations.
Merci Christine, our Economy Minister!
